Livi roar back to the top

AFTER a run of six games without a win Livingston roared back to top form with a pasting of the Pars at Almondvale on Tuesday night.

It has been an up and down season for Livi fans who at one stage led the way at the top of the table.

New boss Paul Hegarty steadied the ship after the sacking of Italian Roberto Landi but is it too late for the club to clinch a late title win?

GRAEME Smith from Livingston reckons the side are missing their former skipper.

He said: “We’re missing James McPake at the moment as I think Danny Griffin and Chris Innes are a bit slow.”

MARK Plain also from Livingston thinks the negative press stories have affected the team on the park. He said: “The press stories don’t help but I also feel injuries have taken their toll.

“Liam Fox has been missed since his injury.”

LIVINGSTON resident Sandy Cassie thinks the improving strike partnership between Armand One and Leigh Griffiths can shoot Livi to the SPL.

He said: “Their link-up play in recent weeks has been promising and will only get better.”

JOHN Russell from Deans admits it has been an up and down season but he hopes boss Hegarty is given plenty time.

He said: “I thought they sacked Landi too quickly as managers need proper time at a club. But Hegarty is doing well and I hope he gets as long as he needs.”
