KILMARNOCK are said to be at the head of a queue of clubs keen to prise goal-den boy Leigh Griffiths away from Livingston.
Killie boss Jim Jeffries is claimed to have personally dropped in on the West Lothian club to monitor the Scotland under-19 starlet’s stunning form.
Midfielder Murray Davidson is another Livi player also said to have caught Jeffries’ eye and a bid for the duo could be on the cards in the summer.
Griffiths, who drew interest from Portsmouth last season, has scored an incredible 18 goals this season despite missing three months through injury.
His remarkable record leaves him second only to Rangers hitman Kris Boyd in the Scottish goal scoring stakes and with a little over a year left on his contract he may well be on the move at the end of the season.
Davidson’s marauding midfield style has also brought him to the attentions of several top-tier clubs.
The 20-year-old finally shook off a troublesome double hernia complaint to cement a place at the heart of the Lions boiler room
Both players came through the much heralded Livingston youth set-up which in recent years has also produced the likes of James McPake, Graham Dorrans and Robert Snodgrass who have all moved on to clubs in England.
