He continued: “The focus has been on the playing staff but it’s so easy to forget about the non-playing staff who have constantly missed receiving their wages on time.
“They are long-serving members of staff and people can say what they want about the previous owner but while Pearse Flynn was in charge every single member of staff was paid on the day they were supposed to be.
“After the last two home matches, the gate money has been divided up which is just not right. But with no gates now for a few weeks and just three for the rest of the season it’s hard to see where cash will come from.
“I know of 16 different companies who have started proceedings against the club for non-payment of bills and services.”
The Livi for Life Supporters’ Trust is hosting an open AGM on April 5, and Nixon hopes to see Massone and the rest of the Lions board there.
“The trust have an obligation to try and ensure the long-term future of the club should the situation reach the point of no other option,” revealed Nixon.
“We do not see any light at the end of the tunnel and we don’t feel the owners have the general goodwill of the trust or the majority of supporters.
“We at the trust have a business plan and each individual within it has been assigned different tasks. There is a Livi for Life AGM scheduled for April 5. It is an open meeting and I’d love it if the owners came along.
“I’ve been looking for a platform to speak to them for a while as they have some serious explaining to do.
“The options are limited now as a Roman Abramovich-like character is not going to drop out of the sky
“We can only speculate on the club’s liability as the books are in such a state and the overheads have increased significantly since the new owners took over.
“I think the club has very few options. The first is a significant investor to come in and balance the books while making a significant cash injection.
“The other options are simply administration or liquidation or with the trust.
“We feel the trust is the only vehicle the club can move forward on.”
