LIVINGSTON'S slim hopes of snatching the First Division title received a boost with this vital win over Clyde.

With leaders St Johnstone held to a 1-1 draw, Joe Hamill's 22nd minute goal allowed Livi to secure the three points and close the gap on the leaders to seven points.

Clyde were reduced to 10 men in the second half but Livingston couldn't extend their lead although Hamill came close to getting a second but Clyde 'keeper David Hutton pulled off a save.
