Bollan reckons Livingston could have hit double figures in Clyde demolition

GARY BOLLAN watched his side slam seven past Clyde and insisted his rampant Lions could have scored even more.

The Livingston manager points to the amount of chances spurned by his side during the first-half.

He said: “We played very well especially in the second-half but had we converted the chances we created in the first half then we could have scored even more.

“We created a lot of chances in all the games against Clyde and for all the effort the boys put in over the tie they got their just rewards.

“We always look to start the game dictating how we want to play and we came out for the second-half like a steam train and scored three goals in five minutes - that is exactly the kind of response you want after any defeat and I never had any doubt that the boys would be right up for the Clyde game after that.”

First Division leaders Dundee will come calling to Almondvale next month when the Scottish Cup Fourth Round gets underway and Bollan acknowledges it will be tough.

He added: “Dundee are flying high at the top of the First Division and we are under no illusions that they will be very tough opponents.

“Jocky (Scott) has spent some money on top quality players and they are looking like being an SPL club next season so it will be a tough task for us and a match where we will go in as underdogs for a change which might spur the boys on as well.”
