KYLE JACOBS had spent half the week suffering with illness but seeing Livingston lose to a last minute goal left him feeling sick to the stomach.
A bug had left the 18-year-old feeling drained and he had to settle for with a place of the bench on Saturday when Forfar came calling.
Jacobs (pictured above) was sent on late in the game with the Lions chasing a sixth league win in a row but it was the Loons who grabbed a priceless league win with a 90th-minute strike.
He said: “I was ill just before the 1-1 game with Clyde and couldn’t play.
“But the club gave me the day off to recover and I felt much better after that and was OK for the Forfar match on Saturday but that was a tough defeat to take especially as it was such a stupid free-kick to give away.
“If we had put our chances away, then we would have won the game long before that.”
Livingston didn’t have long to dwell on their defeat as Clyde came calling on Monday night.
And the Lions roared back to top form by slamming seven past the shell-shocked Bully Wee.
“It was a great performance from the lads and really the best way to get over a defeat like we had against Forfar,’ said Jacobs.
“I thought we played brilliantly and were moving the ball around really well.
“I’m delighted to be involved with the first team and I was a bit surprised to get on as early as I did in the Clyde match as I’d played the full 90 minutes for the Under-19s on Sunday.
“But I’m loving getting the chance to play in the same midfield as my brother Keaghan and guys like Foxy.”
