Fasteq agree deal to extend sponsorship of Livingston FC
LIVINGSTON have announced they will be teaming up with main sponsors Fasteq next season.
The Linlithgow-based business have taken up an option to continue their partnership with the club for next season after both parties were thrilled with the opening six months of thier association.
It was only last summer when Fasteq agreed a one-year deal to become the main sponsor of the Lions but by Christmas they had been in touch with the club regarding an extension.
Livingston Chief Executive Ged Nixon has admitted negotiations were swift as the club were delighted to extend their deal.
He said: “Fasteq stepped up to the plate when not many would have been brave enough to do that.
“We were delighted when they became the club’s main sponsor and it is fair to say the relationship is working very well.
“Fasteq approached ourselves just six months into the deal asking if they could exercise an option to commit further to the football club.
“We were delighted to accept that invitation and negotiations were very swift.
“It’s been a pleasure working with this company who are a blue chip company and a local organisation which is important for the rebuilding of Livingston FC.
“The committment of the entire team at Fasteq is very much appreciated by everyone at Almondvale.”
Rona Haig, Fasteq’s Marketing Director, said: “We are very happy to continue our association with Livingston in recognition of the work the board has done in keeping the team operating in a highly professional manner.
“During the first six months of our sponsorship deal they have surpassed our expectations both on and off the football field.”
Fasteq Operations Director Mike Connelly praised the club for their efforts on and off the park.
He said: “I think in the short space of time since we took up the sponsorship we have been very impressed with how the new board have adopted things.
“The team is doing very well on the park and we are delighted to continue the association.”
Livingston manager Gary Bollan added: “Financially for the club it is great news. It is another step in the right direction for Livingston and it is great to have Fasteq on board as well.”
Fasteq manage the supply of fasteners and components to the engineering, automotive and aerospace and defence industries.
