LIVINGSTON cruised to two successive wins this week as their pre-season preparations moved to friendly action.
On Sunday the Lions ran out comfortable 4-1 winners over Edinburgh side Spartans.
New frontman Iain Russell netted a double on his first run-out in a Livingston shirt while there were also goals for youngsters Kyle Jacobs and Chris Malone.
Alex King lashed home a late consolation for Spartans but the result was never in doubt.
Livingston were back on the road in midweek as they made the trek up to Links Park on Tuesday night for a fixture against Montrose.
Once again it saw an accomplished performance from the West Lothian side who won 3-0.
This time the goals came courtesy of Bobby Barr – a 25-yard screamer – and Robbie Winters before the break.
Teenager Marc McNulty snatched the final goal right at the death to send Livi home in confident mood.
Livingston’s pre-season friendly programme continues tonight (Thursday) in Northern Ireland with a match against Bangor before a meeting with Glentoran on Saturday.
