Bobby Barr eyeing three points on his Brechin return

BOBBY BARR might not have found the net for Livingston yet but he has definitely found his feet.

The wing wizard has started every match for the Lions so far this season as he has cemented his place in Gary Bollan’s first-choice XI.

But he is still searching for his first goal in Livi colours which he hopes will stop the stick in the dressing room and boost his wallet.

He said: “I’ve not scored a goal yet but it isn’t bothering me.

“I’m getting a bit of stick in the dressing room but it will come eventually.

“As long as we are winning and I’m playing on a Saturday then I’m doing OK, although a goal would be nice.

“I have a wee bet on with Kyle and Keaghan Jacobs as to who will score the most goals and I’m still sure I’ll be taking the money at the end of the season.”

Livingston will be hoping Barr can help unlock the Brechin defence this weekend but he knows better than most it won’t be easy as he was actually on their books for a spell last season.

He continued: “I spent three months at Brechin last season, although I only played four games because of the cold snap.

“It is a good club and we know it will be a tough game but they will be without Rory McAllister who will be a big miss for them.

“We didn’t play well last Saturday and the gaffer said to us he felt we didn’t look sharp enough in the warm-up and we then took that into the game.

“But I think at the end of the season that will be a decent point as I don’t think many teams will get anything from Peterhead at home.

“Nobody can play well every week and we are still taking points, so if we can grind out results, that's the most important thing.

“If we can go to Brechin and get a good result then I don’t see why we can’t go on and win the league.”
