MAURICE ROSS admits he needs more games before Livingston see the best of him.
The ex-Scotland and Rangers star looked solid at the back as he made his debut against Morton on Saturday.
But he reckons his best is yet to come. Ross said: “Defensively, I felt I was sound but I will get a lot better.
“I felt a bit rusty, to be honest, with decision-making and on the ball.
“I was a wee bit out of sorts but I've not played since May with Motherwell, so it's understandable why I am rusty, but I'm positive about it.”
Ross joined Livi alongside Mark Fotheringham in a deal that will keep him at the club until January with only his expenses and win bonuses being paid.
And he’s happy to be at the club and getting game time again.
He said: “I'm happy to be here.
“It's a good honest setup with good young lads and a manager who seems to be going places so I am enjoying just getting a game.
Livi boss Gary Bollan reckons the additions of Ross and Fotheringham will be key during the winter spell.
He said: “We’ve a strong bench and that will come into play as the winter kicks in with injuries and suspensions.
“They’ll start adding up around Christmas time, so it’s a case of all the players being given a chance.”
