GARY BOLLAN admitted he was pleased with Livingston’s Scottish Cup fourth round draw after Ayr United booked a date with the West Lothian side.
The Lions boss was holding a fans question and answer session in Livingston as Ayr edged a 2-1 replay win over Montrose on Tuesday night following the draw between the sides on Saturday.
And while Bollan acknowledges that Ayr – who have beaten Hibs and Hearts in cup competition this year – will fancy their chances against his side, he's happy to have home advantage.
He said: “It’s a home tie for us and we’ll take anybody on at home.
“That’s the most important thing from our point of view.
“It’s a winnable tie, although Ayr United will probably think the same. “But we’re happy with the cup draw.”
Bollan hopes Livi can enjoy a good run in the Scottish Cup, both for footballing and financial reason.
He added: “The further you get, the bigger the excitement.
“It can build an atmosphere around the town and can lead to a big draw and a money-spinning game.
“It can be a big day for the club and a financial result too.
“However, winning the cup is way beyond our expectations right now.
“We don’t expect us to win the cup and no one else will either. But it would be fantastic if we could get a cup run.”
