THE draw was made for the second round of the Citylink Scottish Junior Cup at Shotts on Sunday and threw up some mouth-watering ties.
All games are to be played on Saturday, November 1, with a 2pm kick-off.
The biggest match of the draw is Linlithgow’s showdown with Whitburn at Prestonfield, where a big crowd will be expected.
Irvine Meadow play Bathgate, with the holders taking on the same side they beat in a semi-final at Firhill in 2006, the year the Lothian side were losing finalists to Auchinleck.
One aspect that adds a little spice to this encounter is Irvine Meadows signing of Andy McLaren, who trained with the Creamery park outfit during pre-season.
Another tasty fixture is Auchinleck Talbot’s clash with Fauldhouse, which again will attract a healthy crowd.
Blackburn face the Juniors’ newest club, Inverness City – West Calder’s conquerors in the last round.
Harthill face the long trip to Lossiemouth but should take the honours there.
Games involving West Lothian clubs are as follows:
Irvine Meadow v Bathgate Thistle; Kirkintilloch Rob Roy v Stoneyburn; Linlithgow Rose v Whitburn Juniors; Broxburn v Parkvale; Blackburn or Harp v Inverness City; Auchinleck Talbot v Fauldhouse; Neilston v Pumpherston; and Lossiemouth v Harthill.
