Forfar West End 0 Linlithgow Rose 1
LINLITHGOW’S resurgence continued as caretaker bosses Ian Gallacher and Mark Bradley steered them to a third victory on the bounce.
After six consecutive defeats Rose have bounced back and are refusing to give up on their Super League title dream.
They still require favourites Bonnyrigg to slip up but the West Lothian side are certainly going to give them a fight.
Since veterans Gallacher and Bradley moved from the dressing room to the dugout Rose have scored eight times and not conceded a single goal.
The run is giving the Linlithgow committee plenty food for thought as they now have to wonder whether they should bring in a new boss or simply hand the reigns over to the current caretakers.
On the field Rose faced a potential banana-skin away clash with Forfar West End on Saturday.
They took the game to their opponents from the off but it wasn’t until the 54th minute that they managed to make the breakthrough.
The goalscorer was again Tommy Coyne whose form has completely turned round.
This was the third game in-a-row he has had his name on the scoresheet and is in stark contrast to just a few weeks ago when he couldn’t seem to buy a goal.
This week’s goal came from the penalty spot as he steered home confidently to take Rose back to the top of the table.
