Scotland-England match is postponed

THE much anticipated legends match at Almondvale between Scotland and England has been postponed.

The match was due to take place this weekend but will now take place in September after several players declared that they could not attend this weekend's match.

Promoters Grow Sport said that they have taken the decision to postpone the event so that the fans will have the chance to see the top legends players in action.

In a statement the promoters said: “We wanted to make this an event that fans from throughout West Lothian and beyond will enjoy, with players that they will really want to come and see.

“Unfortunately some of the players we had initially invited to come to the match are on holiday and would both have been able to make the date.

“After much consideration we came to the decision that the only fair option was to postpone the game to a later date.

“We would rather fans wait a few months than be disappointed with the line out next Saturday.”

Fans who have purchased tickets are advised that their tickets will be valid for the new date in September.

However customers are entitled to a refund if they do not wish to attend the next event.

“If customers would like a refund they should contact Ticketmaster for more information and people who have purchased tickets from Livingston FC are advised to bring their ticket back to the club if they would like a refund,” added the spokesperson.

For further information on the event people interested should please contact Grow Sport 02890660793.
