Arniston host the Hoose

ON Saturday, Fauldhouse United play their annual Jimmy Holburn Memorial game against Arniston Rangers.

This time it’s Arniston who are the hosts and as holders will wish to retain the trophy.

Kick off is 2pm and there are supporters’ buses, with plenty of seats still available, leaving the supermarket in Fauldhouse at 12pm.

The Hoose are also looking for new sponsors to help them out and any interested parties or businesses can do so by calling club secretary Gordon Watson on 01501 773756.

Last night, (Wednesday) Linlithgow Rose were scheduled to have played a friendly with SPL giants Dundee United as they fine tune their squad ahead of the new campaign.

Bathgate Thistle are due to be back in action tonight (Thursday) with a home match against county rivals Broxburn.

Broxburn are playing all their friendly games away from home as their own ground is being upgraded and this match has a 7pm kick-off.

Saturday will also see Armadale play host to Whitburn in their annual Memorial game.

The Dale have been enjoying great form in recent months and if they can keep it going then promotion is not beyond them and before too long they could be meeting the likes of Bathgate, Linlithgow, Bo’ness and Whitburn in the Super League.

Blackburn continue their round of friendly matches with a game against Lochgelly from Fife.
