THE old adage says that bad luck comes in threes and Whitburn boss Derek Strickland is certainly hoping it is true after seeing his side slip to a third defeat in a row.
The Burnie played well and created plenty of chances including a spot-kick but they passed them all up and with them a share of the points.
Camelon took a 20th-minute lead when a clearance from the Whitburn defence was headed against one of their own team-mates, falling perfectly for Stuart Cringean who slotted home the opener.
Whitburn pushed forward for the remainder of the match but couldn't find a way through the Camelon defence.
But they had a perfect opportunity to secure a share of the points when they were awarded a penalty but Scott Murphy blasted over the bar from 12-yards.
