TOMMY COYNE was one of Linlithgow Rose’s goalscorers in their 3-1 win over Newtongrange Star.
Coyne netted in a whirlwind opening in which Mark Tyrell also netted in the opening 15 minutes before Steve Manson wrapped the match up with a second-half goal.
Former Rose hero Brian Carrigan endeared himself to his new supporters with a crucial goal for Bo’ness which sparked their fightback to nick a League Cup win over Fauldhouse.
The Hoose were 2-0 up against their Super League opponents thanks to goals from Kevin and Mark Martin.
But Carrigan pulled a goal back and turned the tide in the match.
Scott Wright equalised before Will Snowdown won the match in injury time.
Elsewhere, Bathgate lost out to a Graham Guy penalty to go down 1-0 at Camelon.
Armadale hit four second-half goals to romp to a 5-0 win over county rivals Pumpherston.
Connelly opened the scoring inside the first minute but they didn’t manage a second until the hour when Meechan’s cross drifted into the net.
Then the floodgates opened with Brown, Morrison and Feeney on target.
Whitburn won by the odd goal in five to dump nine-man Dalkeith 3-2 at Central Park.

The Whitburn striker suffered a deep gash to his eye but his team mate Scott Murphy dispatched the spot-kick to edge back in front.

And Dalkeith’s day went from bad to worse as they were reduced to nine-men 20 minutes from the end when Scott Borthwick was shown a red card.
But before the end Andrew Dunleavy pulled a goal back for Dalkeith to ensure a nervy finish.
Spartans and West Calder served up a phenomenal nine-goal thriller at Ainslie Park but unfortunately the county side went down 6-3.
The hosts had a 1-0 first-half lead pegged back by Steven Johnston on 49 minutes but within two minutes West Calder were behind again.
Spartans made it 3-1 just before the hour mark before three goals in three minutes.

Then barely 60 seconds on it was 5-2 and surely game over.
They then added a sixth before West Calder sub Jacek Lorek brought it back to 6-3 two minutes from the end.
Broxburn went down 2-1 at Edinburgh, Blackburn fell to a 4-0 defeat away to Sauchie while Livingston enjoyed an impressive 5-1 win over Harthill Royal.
And finally, on Tuesday night, Fauldhouse edged Dalkeith Thistle 2-1 at Parkview.
