Fauldhouse United 1, Haddington Athletic 3
GORDON Watson admitted Haddington deserved their win after beating ten-man Fauldhouse 3-1.
A Mark Wilkins tap-in handed United the lead going into the break before a second half Haddington fightback.
Fauldhouse’s defensive talisman Andy Cooper was taken off injured early in the second 45 minutes.
And Haddington took full advantage, scoring their equaliser soon after.
Athletic snatched another two in the second half before Jason Deans was sent off for a second booking.
Fauldhouse secretary Watson said: “Haddington were the better team on the day and they deserved to win.
“We’ve had a lot of changes to the team and it has taken a while to bed that in.
“It is coming together though and we won’t be far away by the end of the season.”
Fauldhouse slip to 10th in the South Division as Haddington’s strong start pushes them up to third behind Blackburn and Whitburn.
Fauldhouse take on winless Dunbar this weekend.
Gary Cunningham has been transfer listed by the club.
