FAULDHOUSE gaffer Davie Cowan hopes the return of a crocked trio will bolster his side as he faces his former club.
Jamie Gallacher and Jason Deans are both fit for the clash with table-toppers Spartans, while Sam Scott faces a late call.
And with Cowan also snapping up ex-Spartan Gary Bannon ahead of the clash, he hopes his strengthened side will bring better results.
He said: “I obviously used to be the manager at Spartans so I’ll have an added reason to want to see us doing well.
“You always want to beat former clubs and this weekend will be no different.”
And Cowan reckons the return of Deans, Gallacher and Scott will make a big difference to his side’s chances.
“We have been hampered by injuries recently and that’s affected our performances on the field.
“Every squad has a few players you really miss if they are out and I would be playing all three of them most of the time, so it has been tough.
“Now they are back I’m hoping we can start getting some better results and get ourselves up the table.
“Bringing in Bannon is a bonus too.
“If he plays, he’ll be wanting to put in a good performance against his old club.”
Fauldhouse grabbed their second win of the season as they saw off winless Dunbar in a close 2-1 encounter.
The win lifts United to eighth and five points off the top spot.
