Falkirk 1, Whitburn 1
BRYAN King’s late header kept Whitburn joint top after earning his side a 1-1 draw against Falkirk.
A hard-fought first half ended goalless at Grangemouth Stadium with both sides squandering chances to take the lead.
But Falkirk’s Mark Pagliarulo fired home a low strike just after the hour mark.
A win would have lifted his side to joint second with Whitburn.
But Burnie’s super sub Dewi Taylor had other ideas. And once again he made an immediate impact hitting over a great right wing cross which Bryan King headed in at the back post.
With Spartans' victory against Edinburgh, they leapfrog Whitburn to go back to the top of the league.
Whitburn drop to second on goal difference.
Falkirk stay seventh with three points separating them and top.
