Blackburn and West Calder into Fife and Lothians Cup draw

BLACKBURN were in cruise control as they saw off Dundonald Bluebell 3-0 in the Fife and Lothians Cup.

United were three goals to the good before half time and held out for a solid victory over the Cardenen outfit.

Alan Brown opened the scoring on 21 minutes before player/boss Mark Campbell doubled his side’s advantage two minutes later.

David Sneddon grabbed the third on 37 minutes as United took complete control and rightly progressed to the next round of the cup.

West Calder United also booked their place in the hat for the next round with a 2-1 win over Steelend Vics.

But Stoneyburn won’t be in the draw after a double from Dean Ogg sent them crashing out of the cup 2-0 to Rosyth.

Harthill were also on the end of a Fife and Lothians Cup defeat as Newburgh thrashed the South Division side 7-2.
