BLACKBURN United boss Mark Campbell admitted his side missed a golden opportunity to secure their place in the Scottish Junior Cup third round.
His South Division outfit raced to a 2-0 lead against Superleague side Carnoustie Panmure before a second-half fightback by the Fifers earned them a replay.
Campbell said: “We could have been three or four goals up at half-time.
“I knew they’d come back into it because the wind played a big part and they had it at their backs in the second half.
“It was a missed opportunity to beat them and get into the next round.
“It’ll be a tough game going to their place now, but we’ve still got a decent chance against them.”
Blackburn opened the scoring when Nicky Millar’s clever wing play ended with a cross into the Panmure box and Andy McQuillan headed the ball into the net.
United doubled their lead when David Sneddon converted a Millar free-kick but Panmure hit back 10 minutes into the second half through Josh Perera before Kevin Milne squared the match in the 80th minute.
